No trial. The app is free to explore, so you can test it out yourself before paying for anything.

Basecamp includes one free day-one itinerary preview, and any extra full itinerary is $4.99 whenever you need one. Explorer includes every itinerary for every park, real-time Ranger help in the park, audio tours, lodging guides, offline trail maps, and no caps on your wishlist, trips, or journal — all for $29.99 a year.
Cancelling?
Any time, from the trip planner once you're signed in. Access runs to the end of the period you paid for.
What happens to my journal if I cancel?
Stays the same. It's still yours, stamps and all. You'd just be back under the free limits (3 wishlist parks, 1 trip, 10 journal entries) for anything new.
Does Explorer work in the app too?
Yes. Sign in with the same account on the site and in the app, and your Explorer access follows you.
What are the camera looks?
Real colour grading, not a filter over the top: pick a look before you shoot and the preview shows the finished photo, nothing to edit after. Basecamp gets True, Forest, and Desert. Explorer adds six more landscapes to the wheel.
How do I share a story?
From your Journal tab, write one true story (300–800 words) about a park you've been to and submit it. We feature the strongest ones on that park's page with your byline.
What's a Founder Pass?

Renewal & cancellation
Explorer renews once a year. Cancel anytime from the trip planner and you keep access through the year you already paid for.
Refunds
Digital purchases are final once delivered. The one exception is a technical failure on our end, which we'll fix or refund.
Price changes
If a price changes, it never applies retroactively to something you already bought.
Your content
Your journal entries and photos are yours. We host them to run your account and never sell them.
